how to classify voxel either cartilage or background in matlab?

I have to work on cartilage segmentation of the knee and for this segmentation am using voxel classification approach please help me for the same.

There's no cartilage finding function built in to MATLAB. Look here for algorithms that you can build up from lower level functions: http://www.visionbib.com/bibliography/contentsmedical.html#Medical%20Applications,%20CAT,%20MRI,%20Ultrasound,%20Heart%20Models,%20Brain%20Models
