Why does periodogram/window fail?

Any demo that I run containing the periodogram (for example the Spectrum Scope sink) fails with the same error message:
example from mixed signal blockset:
Error in 'pll_d1/VCO Control Spectrum/Spectrum Scope/Periodogram/Window' while executing C MEX S-function 'sdspwindow2', (mdlSetWorkWidths), at time 0.0.
Why is this?
