Set the active state in Stateflow directly?

I have found a thread regarding to reset the states and locals of a sf chart.
But does anyone know how to set a certain state in chart active directly, e.g. through inputs, parallel states/conditons etc?
I need this so that I can use Sf to generate codes for different instances of class. Eg. objectA is in State1 and objectB in State2 of the same sf. Then each time the same function codes generated by this sf will be used for objectA/B treating their different states.
Any idea? Thsnks

Is is possible to realize this without atomic sub-chart?
