Is the R2013a compatible with Mac OS El Capitan?

I am aware of the patch for Java 6 under Yosemite and El Capitan. However, I don't know about the compatibility of R2013a with the new OS. All I need is for R2013a to open and work for the time being until I get R2016a.

Since the question is "full compatibility" the answer is NO. There is as yet no version of MATLAB which is fully compatible with El Capitan.
