2015b Student Version: Simulink smart editing does not work

I have Matlab & Simulink 2015b student version. If i try to use the new smart editing features they don't work.
If I highlight an area the option pops up(create subsystem, create area,...) but if I click on an option nothing happens.
I tried enabling/disabling the option in the Simulink preferences but no luck.
