hello all , I want to ask that how to introduce or place different shapes in an image (such as- circle , triangle , rectangle etc.) and crop the image as per them (like - circular , triangular and rectangular cropping) . thank you.

You cannot do that. MATLAB only supports rectangular (well, hyperdimensional cuboid) arrays. You cannot end up with, for example, a circular array.
The closest you can get is to crop at the bounding box of the shape.

it is possible by introducing a mask of particular shape and filtering image through it .
