How can I save an image from Matlab GUI directly to SQL Server Database without saving to the disk?

I have a MATLAB GUI in which the resultant image is formed after stitching 4 different images of users choice. I want to store that resultant image directly in the database table of SQL Server. Can it be possible to do so without saving the image in the disk? I have a little knowledge about making connections of MATLAB with Databases, so expert help required. Thanks in advance!

When practical, create a data array that combines the images the way the user specified, and save that data array.
When that is not practical, then getframe() to capture a picture of the axes or figure.
