Why do I see a message "Chrome update required: Your browser needs to be updated before you can log in."

Why do I see a message "Chrome update required: Your browser needs to be updated before you can log in." when trying to log in with my university SSO credentials? I have already updated Chrome but the message does not go away.

This error is being caused by your SSO blocking the version of the embedded browser that MATLAB uses for sign in.

As a workaround, please try signing in using a One-Time Password. Restart MATLAB and enter your email address in the window and then close the SSO window that pops up without signing in to it. You should then see a new pop-up: 

Click "Continue" and proceed to sign in using a One-Time Password by accessing this webpage in your browser:https://www.mathworks.com/mwaccount/profiles/generatecode?context=matlab
