Adding a Transmitter and Receiver Physics into Unreal Engine 5 Environment using Simulink 3D

2 ビュー (過去 30 日間)
Hello!
I am trying to add a transmitter (at a fixed point in the 3D environment) and receiver (on the drone) in Unreal Engine environment using Simulink 3D, to study Quality of Service on the drone moving along the drone path. As per my understanding, the "Simulink 3D" blocks are essential to input a sensor in Unreal Engine Environment like LIDAR, Camera, Ultrasonic Sensors, Raytracer etc, but transmiiters and receivers are not available in simulink 3D blocks . Is there a work around to do the same, since we dont have simulink 3D blocks for the same?
Thanks

Hi Krishnakanth,
Unfortunately, we do not offer the ability to model transmitters and receivers to study Quailty of Service in the Unreal Engine environment. There are other ways to model this through the Antenna Toolbox, please see some examples here: https://www.mathworks.com/help/antenna/examples.html?category=rf-propagation&exampleproduct=all
In particular, these examples might be relevant for you:
Hope that helps,
Nishan

Thank you Nishan!
While these resources are quite helpful, especially the second one (Aircraft over sea-water example), I was intending to do Harware-in-Loop simulation (using controller for the drone) later which i think would not be possible using only the antenna toobox within the 'siteviewer' in MATLAB.
I appreciate the quick response though.
Cheers,
Krishnakanth
