I renewed my MATLAB license and get error "1-6379G9" at activation. Can you help me proceed please?

After my SSD drive crashed I had to reload MATALB, renewed the Software license service. I then downloaded the MATLAB and at activation get teh following: "no more activations fo rthis user.....See solution 1-6379G9"

It looks like you need to deactivate the license on your old machine first. Follow the instructions here:

It sounds like this might have been a Windows machine. Windows machine have the option of locking against the hard-drive serial number. Which works fine... until the day you have to replace the hard-drive.
