I am using MATLAB for my masters project and need to be able to locate and track shapes but I'm not sure how to do this. Any help would be much appreciated

The project is the design of an offisde system for football. The concept is the use of a video feed to locate players and identify if they are in an offisde position.
I don't know how to identify shapes within the image that I've imported to matlab, but have a matrix system to process the final data.

Post a typical video frame that you need to analyze. Don't make us work "blind".
