I have tried to design a bidirectional convert, but I can't find to figure out why the battery will not discharge to the main grid.
Here is an overview of the design:
I want the SOC of the battery to control the direction of the thryistor. With the use of relay I want the battery to discharge at 80% and charge when it's below 40%. This goes into the Pulse Generator which will send the signals to the bridge.
Is there any obvious faults in my design? Also, is it possible to use the "Simpowersystems simscape interface" as the design shows?
Outside of the subsystem I have to generators that produces 666kVA, and a motor with a rated 837kVA.

Hello,
unfortunately, there is not enough information from the screen shot to know for sure what is wrong. If possible, share a model in these situations. It does look like the feedback control may be too simplistic. Also, it looks like you are combining simscape components with specialized power systems. Both utilize different solver technologies, so it would be best to use one or the other. As they have many similar components it is usually unecessary to combine the two.
Here is an example of actively controlling a thyristor rectifier. Please use it as a starting point.
Regards,
Joel
