Can I import noise while designing something like a power plant motor or pipe and simulating it in Matlab&Simulink?

Hi! Sir.
I am a master's student.
I've recently been looking into making a simulator for power plant motors and pipes and extracting sound data from a .wav file.
My goal is to implement various parts such as motors and pipes used in power plants in simulation and measure changes in sound by break down the implemented simulator according to specific conditions.
I need the corresponding sound as a .wav file and would like to use this sound for AI learning.
However, I am hesitant to pay for the software because I don't know if this topic is possible in matlab.
I would like your help if possible.
thank you

Hi,
Creating a simulator for power plant components like motors and pipes and analyzing sound data in MATLAB is feasible and suitable for your project. MATLAB offers tools for physical simulation (Simscape), sound generation, and audio processing (Audio Toolbox, Signal Processing Toolbox) that can help in simulating power plant components, extracting, and analyzing sound data from .wav files. These capabilities make it possible to prepare data for AI learning effectively. However, MATLAB is a paid software, but student versions or institutional licenses might be available at a reduced cost.
Hope this helps.
