Can multiple versions of MATLAB be installed on the same Windows PC using the same license number for code compatibility?"

Some codes require an older version to run, while it's preferable to use a newer version for new development. I hope that both newer and older versions can be installed on the same Windows PC with the same license number. They don't need to be run simultaneously, but rather alternately, without the need to switch the license back and forth.
Hope the answer is positive.

Yes. I frequently have multiple releases on my machine. It is occasionally useful, but the older releases are usually there in my case mainly because I'm too lazy to remove the old ones. I ALWAYS keep at least the latest previous release, one that I know is working properly, in case there is an issue with my machine and a new release. It never hurts, but some people have issues with space on their drives. I don't.

Multiple MATLAB versions can be installed on the same machine as long as your license permits it. Both can even be run simultaneously if needed. The key is you need a license for all versions installed.
