Hi,
I would like to model a simple transporter model with dual tires on rear axle. I am using the matlab wheels and tyres availble directly but I am not able to find a dual tyre model in it. I can select the light truck combined slip wheel 2DOF model but I want to have a twin tyres on rear axle. Is there a block or settings where i can do this?

Hi Sowmya,
So as you are working on to model a simple transporter model with dual tires on rear axle. And you are using wheels and tires from MATLAB, but you are unable to find the dual tire model in MATLAB.
In MATLAB, there isn’t a direct block for a dual tire model. But as a workaround you can try to model a dual tire setup by using two separate tire blocks to represent each tire on the rear axle. Try to Use the 'Light Truck Combined Slip Wheel 2DOF' block, as you mentioned, or any other tire model that suits your requirements. Please check the following shared references to see if you can model the dual tire model as per your requirements.
Please refer to the following references to know more about:
You can try to use the 'Tire (Magic Formula') blocks to represent dual tires.
This tool allows you to define tire characteristics using Magic Formula coefficients. This could potentially offer a more accurate representation of the tire dynamics.
Hope this helps.
