Some slowness in Simulink with Matlab R2023b

Hello, I'm facing some slowness with Simulink with R2023b, for instance at Simulink model settings opening (at least 30s between request and window display) or when typing to get a simulink block (also 30s at least to get the list )...

I've also R2021b installed on my computer and the behavior is perfectly fine with this version.

Other colleagues are facing the same issue.

Is it a known problem with R2023b ? Is there a way to solve it ?

I've also been using Simulink with MATLAB R2023b, and I haven't encountered any problems while opening model settings or inserting a Simulink block. Could you please provide more information about the operating system you were using when you experienced this issue.

My team and I are also experiencing general slowness in Simulink with 2023b. We are upgrading from 2015b and are considering if this is a systemic issue. Please post any updates that you find. Thanks!

There might be a few different issues with a slow response. To resolve them, these steps might be be helpful or resolve the issue completely

(1) Increase the SWAP memory of MATLAB. It can significantly improve the performances of MATLAB. See this discussion thread.

(2) Check the sufficiency of RAM and disk space available on your computer. Running out of memory can lead to slowdowns.

(3) Check network Issues. If Simulink is connected to a network license server, network issues could impact performance. Check the network connection and license server status.

(4) Disable Add-Onns. Tests this by temporarily disabling any Simulink add-ons or toolboxes that you don't need. Some add-ons might not be fully compatible with the Simulink 2023b version.

(5) Update graphics drivers and Adjust Graphics Settings. Click on "Simulation" --> "Model Configuration Parameters" --> "Simulation Target" --> "Performance" and play with different settings to optimize performance of your installed Simulink 2023b.

(6) Visit to the MathWorks website or reach out to MathWorks support to check for any known issues or updates related to performance problems in Simulink R2023b.
