How can I install toolbox in docker container?

Hi, I want to use Matlab and toolboxes in Docker container.

I have academy license (individual), and I pulled official release of Matlab Image from Dockerhub : 'mathworks/matlab'.

When I run container with this image, I'm asked to sign in with my Mathworks ID/PW, which implies that the image doesn't have any license information inside, but check license availability with user's account.

The problem is, this image only contains Matlab but no toolbox at all which is included in my license.

I want to install toolbox in the container, so I downloaded install file(*.iso) from Mathworks website (Linux ver), and filled in 'installer_input.txt'

I really don't think that I need installation key, because I'll be asked to sign in when I launch Matlab in the container.

And I tried to install with the following command :

./install -inputFile /installer_input.txt

But it failed, and the log file says that

"File Installation Key not detected. Generate a key in License Center on mathworks.com and uncomment the line."

I cannot understand why installation key is needed even though I activated the 'enableLNU' option to 'yes'.

Is there any other way to install toolbox to the container?

Thank you for your interest in our Docker offerings!

In our "alternates" folder in the MATLAB Dockerfile repository (link below), we have an example of a Dockerfile which can install toolboxes into the mathworks/matlab Docker Hub image. The README contains instructions on how to build the custom Docker image with the desired toolboxes.

This Dockerfile and README can be found here:

The image built by this Dockerfile has the same licensing options as the mathworks/matlab Docker Hub image.
