My editor is exhibiting abnormal scroll lock-like behavior when I attempt to jump between sections using control+up/down after upgrading from 2020a to 2023a.

In the code editor, you are supposed to be able to jump between sections of code (deliniated by double % symbols) by pressing control+up to move to a previous section, or control+down to move to the next session. However, after installing 2023a with a new license key and uninstalling my old 2020a version, the feature seems to have broken.

In my new 2023a matlab editor, I can’t properly section jump by pressing control+up/down… Its behaving almost as if scroll lock was on, by instead moving the screen (not the cursor) up/down 1 line every time I try with control+up/down, except it behaves very strangely even for scroll lock. If I’m in a section, say the fifth section (sectioned by %%’s), it will behave like it’s in scroll lock, until the screen reaches line 1, then the cursor suddenly jumps from section 5 to section 4 and moves the whole screen to match it (which is what it should have done without the weird intermediate scroll lock behavior that required traversing the entire document). If you keep doing it, it does the same behavior and when the screen gets to line 1 again, the cursor and screen jump to section 3, and so on and so forth. The same is true when moving down, it won’t jump sections until after the screen has run all the way up/down first. I can’t find this online. I tried the on screen keyboard to verify that scroll lock wasn’t active (my physical keyboard doesn’t even have a scroll lock button) and when that was confirmed to not be active I tried turning on the scroll lock intentionally to see if it acted any differently and it didn’t. Unfortunately I uninstalled my 2020a when I installed 2023a, so I can’t test is this is a system-wide bug or just on my new 2023a… Restaring matlab hasn’t helped, unplugging and replugging the keyboard hasn’t helped, and restarting the computer hasn’t helped.

Same problem, solved by deleting shortcuts for "Scroll Up" and "Scroll Down".
