How is it possible to use ANN in Optimization Problems ?

there are few articles about using Artificial Neural Networks in Optimization problems

anyone has any experience on it ?

It is not clear to what you refer. Two thoughts come to mind:

1. Use an optimization program to train a nnet.

2. Use a nnet to represent a function in an optimization program.

What were you thinking and why?
