read and convert binary file

Hi to all,
I have a file with this data:
this is a large file (I only show a portion of it). I want to convert this data (8 bit format) to a decimal number, so AA will be 170 and so on. I tried to use readcell but for some reason Im unable to convert to decimal. Tried also Fopen and Fread to read the file but only give decimal representation of easch char in the file ( output like this AA ----> 65 65).
I want the output be like " 170 8 0 0 ...."

I could not get textscan to read it successfully, either here or offline, although I don’t know the reason for thet.

This appears to be the only way to import and read that file. The code is relatively straightforward. It first finds the ‘newline’ characters so it knows when to start a new line, then it reads between them and converts to decimal numbers.
