x=0:0.01:2*pi y=cos(x) plot(x,y)
need a additional 1/4 cycle time delayed signal on the same axis as x
I don't want to use shift by pi/4 cycle because I am trying to simulate what happens with real tine signals in a DSP. I would like a solution with a 1/4 cycle delay function if its possible in matlab. Thanks

I'm not really sure what you are looking for if you don't want to shift the signal.
cos( x + pi/2 )
is a 1/4 cycle time delayed signal isn't it? (possibly -pi/2 instead...)
