Problems using Excel file

Hi Guys,
could anybody run the following code for me using the data in the attached file? http://thedata.harvard.edu/dvn/dv/restat/faces/study/StudyPage.xhtml?globalId=doi:10.7910/DVN/27513
I do not understand how to import the data into Matlab so that I can run the code using the "load" command. I have tried different ways of importing the data but I get the message that the data cannot be found or that the dataset cannot be used.
The idea was to import import the excel file (with xlsread or uiimport) and save it. I also used dlmwrite for text files instead of save.
Unfortunately,neither method did the trick.
What can I do to run the code mentioned above?
