Hi,
I've noticed that there are some PMSM data sheet that specify a rated Vdc voltage and others that don't. For the ones that do so, what is the criteria to determine such voltage? Is it related to the energy requiered to spin the motor to the nominal speed (i.e maximum speed)?

This question is about standards different manufacturing companies have on what they report on data sheets and is not standardized. This question does not relate to MathWorks tools. Please use this forum for questions about MathWorks tools.
For your reference, no dc voltage is ever applied to a PMSM, and it is completely dependent on the motor drive what voltage would be applied. Given this drives are usually fairly standard, manufactures have a good idea what dc link voltage should be used with standard drives to work with their motor. There are also PMSMs that have an integrated drive or are packaged with one, in which case they must be supplied the dc voltage and handle the motor drive signals internally.
