Why am I getting wrong S11 in Budget Analyser?

Hi,

I don't understand why the response in the budget analyser is a flat line - whereas in the antenna designer it is very curvy showing clear dips at the resonant frequency. Please see attach image for clarity.

I want to be able to see the response in the budget analyser so I can add filters etc and see how that changes the return loss on the addition of these devices etc.

And why an earth is it giving me values? This is a 1-port device (the antenna)?!

Hi,

The sparameters plot in the rfBudgetAnalyzer remains flat unlike the regular sparamters plot using rfplot function because rfBudgetAnalyzer plots the sparameters at the mentioned InputFrequency (28.5 MHz) instead of the entire bandwidth .

Since general design is around two port networks, the app by default displays the S21 parameters.
