Webread Sharepoint list: getting strange format strings before/after content

I've been using webread to get data from a Sharepoint list into Matlab. It was working just fine until a few days ago. When I tried it again today, the data looks weird in the Matlab table as shown in the picture. Font, size, color , etc. are included before and after the actual content.

My weboptions are: ('HeaderFields', {'Authorization', ['Bearer ', mytoken]; 'Accept-Encoding' 'gzip'; 'Content-Type' 'application/json'}, 'Timeout', 1000). I've tried it with and without the Content-Type header but no difference. The 'Accept-Encoding' is set to avoid some gzip-related error I get sometimes. TIA for any suggestions/guidance.
