How can I read my jpeg file in matlab as .mat file

Hi I have an image on my Pc that I want to use in my code but it is in jpeg and I want to make it .mat file to read it and call it in matlab. How may I call it or convert it?

REad about imread.
I = imread(myjpeg) ;
save data.mat
