I have a PDE heat transfer analysis in functional form using two different materials assembled together. These two materials have different thermal conductivity. Therefore, I want to use this function to solve the problem u = assempde(pdem, c, a, f); How can I apply different properties to different materials

Use a nonconstant coefficient function for each coefficient such as c. It might not be obvious how to write the function, but examine the documentation carefully and I believe that you will understand.
