Given the URL of an image, I want to download the image. Can this be done in Matlab? With webread?

You should be able to do this using websave
>> imageUrl = 'https://requestserver.mathworks.com/assets/computerVision.jpg';
>> imageName='image.jpg';
>> websave(imageName,imageUrl);
