What do you want it for?
If this is for a term project, look through the relevant IEEE and related journals in your university library and find an article that interests you and that is not too complicated. Then simulate it and see if you get the same result the authors did. If you’re looking to do original research — for an M.S. thesis for instance — ask your instructor to suggest something.
Once you choose something to do, discuss it with your instructor to be sure it meets the instructor’s requirements, and is not so difficult that you would have problems finishing it in the time you have.
