Can't access 'image processing toolbox' using R2014b Student edition

I'm trying to use the 'truesize' function to display a global map with 1 degree per screen pixel, however when i type truesize it gives the error message:
Undefined function or variable 'truesize'.
Having looked on the mathworks documentation page I've tried to change image processing toolbox preferences using 'iptprefs', but once again I get the message:
Undefined function or variable 'iptprefs'.
The website says that the student version that I'm using comes with the image processing toolbox, which incorporates 'truesize', but I can't seem to access it.
Alternatively, the 'truesize' function is listed under 'Build Interactive Tools' in documentation on the website. I don't really know how it works, but is it possible to set up and define a 'truesize' function since I can't access the one that supposedly comes with the software?
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
