What kind of coding do I need to create a program that will recognize the word I am saying and repeat that same word to me?

The Code-Word Catcher prgram should be able to recognize a word such as "hello" for example and will play the corresponding pre-recorded enunciation of the word through the computer speaker and display the word on computer screen. What line of codes I need? What are the basic steps I need to start a script?
