my license is managed by my organization, by a server with lmtools.exe tool.
sometimes, my license could be unavailable, so when I start my matlab.exe, I get "Activate MathWorks Software" prompt as bellow,
the startup is slow and waste a bit of time and operations
I plan to run a script (e.g. check_license.bat ) before I start my matlab.exe, it will check if I have an available matlab license.
  • which command could I use to check license availble
  • if existing other way to do it

Is there a way for licenses to be monitored from the client machine instead of the server?

Hi Leo Zhai,
It is my understanding that , you want to know if any command exists to know whether you have the license or not and also ways to activate matlab license.
You can get to know about information regarding license thorugh link.
You can activate matlab through link .
There is also a way to activate matlab manually link.
