I need to run a simulation for hours it runs and suddenly loses all the simulation. how do i get this done.

I need to run matlab on line for about 8 hours. Is it possible to speed it up? It runs and suddenly cshut down what do i do?

Could this be the operating system shutting down due to "inactivity"? E.g. in Windows, Settings, System, there is a "Power & sleep" option that controls when the system shuts down because there have been no key presses or mouse movements. You can set this to "never"

I am not certain what the simulation is or if this would work on MATLAB Online, however doing something similar to How to save data from Genetic Algorithm in case MATLAB crashes? could be worth considering. It would at least save the interim data in the simulation.
