NON DAQ COMPATIBLE DEVICE

HI, my force gauge is not DAQ compatible, but I need to use a data acquisiton type method to extract the data from my device and integrate it into a MATLAB code that analyzes the data further. It seems like the Data Acquisition toolbox is only for devices produced by specific companies, but I am trying to do something similar to what it does.
