Why do I see a "Cannot start engine" error message after executing any command in MuPAD ?

After opening a MuPAD notebook and entering the following command:

 

      1+1

I receive the error message:

 

'Cannot start engine'

Is that a bug?

This issue could be caused due to your anti-virus software blocking the MuPAD executable.

 

After initiating MuPAD, check your Task Manager for any executables that were not running before you initiated MuPAD. Add these executables to your anti-virus' list of exceptions.
