Plot Each nth Point

Dear All,

I have several .xyz files which are composed of points (number of points vary between 700 and 70000) with their x,y and z coordinates. I can plot all points easily using scatter3 function. However, instead of plotting all points, I want to plot each nth point that are away from each other "d" meters. I am able to plot each nth point but it provides me a nonuniform distribution as shown in the figure with black dots (blue dots represent all other points included in .xyz file). The .xyz file I am working on is attached as .txt file.
