app designer not saving or closing after computer sleep

I found that, everytime my computer goes to sleep (or hibernate) and wakes up again, the app designer that was opened previously won't respond: no longer save new changes & not be able to close (although the app is still functioning). I have to go to task manager and end task to shut down matlab and restart. I'm wondering if this a common problem and if there's an easy solution to restart the app designer.

Can you provide information regarding the version of MATLAB you are using and your operating system?

matlab R2021b on Window 10 system

The issue you are suggesting is not very frequently observed. One possible reason for sudden freeze up could windows 10 optimization causing this issue when suspended. Can you provide more info regarding you computer's hardware?

upon wake up, often see a msgbox says javascript alert http://localhost:31515 message service fatally disconnected. Not know if it's related.
