Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows how to lock the position in Simscape Multibody? I have simulated a front landing gear by importing a Solidworks model into Simscape.
However I only want to consider the case where the support strutt is fully locked out. Hopefully with the support strutt locked out I can model forces in the strutt subject to movement of the wheels (up and down - I have yet to model the damping).
I've attached my model so far.
Kind regards,
Andy

Hi Andy - for the joints you wish to lock into position, you can put a Rigid Transform (parameterized to the same rotational/translation displacement as the degree of freedom) in parallel with any joint you wish to have locked and then comment out that joint.
If you are exporting from CAD and all parts have the same reference frame (this is common if you export a set of parts all at once as STEP files) you can just lock all parts to the same reference.
