Can anyone help me to solvethis equation? I want to plot neff vs wavelength. It's a transcendental equation. Wavelength will be given from outside and others are constant. It's impossible to take neff at one side and wavelength at other side. Then kindly suggest how to do this?

I'm not exactly sure what you want to plot against with. However, you can try out this fimplicit function. Here is an example to plot the circle.
fimplicit(@(x,y) x.^2 + y.^2 - 1)
axis square
Hope it helps. For more info, please check out:

Look up some examples and apply the fimplicit function on your equation. Hope it works.
