Convert nifti file containing a brain region of interest to a logical vector (number of seeds (in this case 1) x number of voxels?

Hello,
I would like to convert a nifti file containing a brain region of interest (for example the caudate, which is labeled as 1, rest of the brain 0) to a logical vector, number os seeds (in this case only 1) x number of voxels in the seed?
