Can anyone tell me what this does

(directly-result)./result.*100
Im trying to figure out what a scripts purpose is. I think this line of code may be a hint as it is preceded by the word "check" meaning I think it is a formula being used to check the accuracy of the rest of the script.
can anyone help?

That looks like a calculation for a percentage change.
