Random CDF Values based on probability

Is there a way to generate a value from a random CDF probability?

The function:

y = cdf('name',x,A,B)

for a normal distribution returns a probability y given a value x , the mean A , and standard deviation B.

I want to have basically the reverse where the function returns the value x based on the probability y, the mean A , and standard deviation B.

Is there any possible way to do this?
