Hi all, I have data above.Anyone know how to calculate the total are ? Let say Inwant calculate the the total are that have coordinate (147 109) and (146 108), is it like this the command sum([146:147 108:109])?

Hello @mohd akmal masud, You need to take out Area index then sum it where centroid is within you range.

You can do that like following

Area  = [9;27;43];
Centroid = [146.67    108.11; 146.81    109.52; 146.09     108.7];
T = table(Area ,Centroid);
%check in all value which are 147 in column 1 and 109 in column 2
trueIndex = ((147>=T.Centroid(:,1) & T.Centroid(:,1)>=146)&(109>=T.Centroid(:,2) & T.Centroid(:,2)>=108));
%add all area which have 147 and 109
sum(Area(trueIndex))

Or in one liner if you want

sum(Area(((147>=T.Centroid(:,1) & T.Centroid(:,1)>=146)&(109>=T.Centroid(:,2) & T.Centroid(:,2)>=108))))

What I means is I want to know the sum area of centroid (147 109) and (148 110)

what you wrote is you list all the area that have certain centroid then you sum it

Ok, I explain to you.

Let say I have this below table. If you see, the first centroid is (147.59 109.28) have area 29. The third centroid is (147.55 110.18) have area 11.

Then I wrote Function as below

function total_Area = sum_area_objects(T,coord1,coord2)
total_Area = 0;
for i = 1:height(T);
    if T.Centroid(i,1) > coord1-1 & T.Centroid(i,1) < coord1+1 & T.Centroid(i,2) > coord2-1 & T.Centroid(i,2) < coord2+1
        total_Area = total_Area + T.Area(i);
    end
end
end

So , I dont know how to sum all the area that have centroid from (147 109) till (148 110). I wrote below but the answer is wrong. Because I want to all the centroid that have decimal point also .
