Arduino Wireless Connectivity Error: ESP8266 Wifi Shield v1 connected with Arduino causes Build-Deploy Error

This is the Wifi Shield (ESP8266 -12E WiFi Shield Version 1.0 by WangTongZhe). I am planning to use it to send packets/data of my arduino (Arduino Mega 2560 - CH340) to a device through wifi. There was no manual or schematics whatsoever with the Wifi Shield, however I’m trying to guess how it should be connected with the arduino hardware, I tried putting both of them which is shown on the picture attached below.
I tried connecting it to my Matlab Simulink Model so that I can build and deploy the simulink sample model to my hardware. The following action is shown through the video I attached below. I have already checked the setup of my arduino through the simulink support and there was no error found. However, the Simulink software cannot deploy the model to the board since the COM Port of the hardware was unidentified. I tried checking on the COM port and it showed a known device. I also tried to check if the driver of the device was updated and it really was. At this point, I am really hitting a stumbling block in making the shield work with my Arduino. I hope you can help me with this. Thank you.
