Dear community,
Matlab shows me the following:
Caught "std::exception" Exception message is:
FatalException(unknown)
MATLAB:dispatcher:loadLibrary Can't load 'C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2014a\bin\win64\mm_rmidd_mi.dll': The specified module could not be found.
Caught "std::exception" Exception message is:
FatalException(unknown)
MATLAB:dispatcher:loadLibrary Can't reload 'C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2014a\bin\win64\mm_rmidd_mi.dll'.
I've looked for the file - and it's there - do you have any suggestions why matlab says this?
thanks in advance :)

I was having the same problem. Avast detected LIBMWM3I_RES.DLL as a threat and put it in its Virus Chest. I solved the problem by restoring the DLL and adding it to the exclusion list. The next time MATLAB started I got a warning from Avast and told it to ignore the problem (add to exclusions list). Restarted MATLAB and the error was gone.

I am getting the same exact error. It might be related to antivirus software falsely flagging something, since i received an alert the same time i opened Matlab 2014a 64-bit? I am using Avast Free version 2014.9.0.2021.

FYI: I removed this file from the virus chest, and added it to the exception list and restarted matlab. This fixed the problem for me.

Haha, yeah maybe that's it. I got a warning from avast too and have been putting it into the exception list - but haven't restarted yet. I hope that's gonna fix it :)

unfortunatley, mine still has the same problem - even though the entire Matlab folder is no excluded from avast

Found the solution, I had the LIBMWM3I_RES.DLL in the "Virus Chest". Didn't know that one existed. However, for those who don't know: Go into your avast panel -> right click on one of the free tabs next to quick scan. Choose virus chest -> and from there you can restore the files!
