Hello, I bought MATLAB a few weeks ago and didn't note how to start the program. Really I shouldn't have to. It should be as simple as double clicking an icon. So, I tried starting MATLAB with Terminal > $ matlab > but received error: [code] $ matlab License checkout failed. License Manager Error -9 Your username does not match the username in the license file.
Diagnostic Information: Feature: SR_MATLAB License path: /home/username/.matlab/R2014a_licenses:/usr/local/MATLAB/R2014a/licenses/license.dat:/usr/local/MAT LAB/R2014a/licenses/trial_1926252_R2014a.lic Licensing error: -9,57.

As far I know MATLAB checks the username in the license too. You can try to activate the license for the same user which should be able to start the binary.

Sorry. I have only Windows. Call tech support and tell them you installed it but can't find it.
