How to transfer .mat files from Windows to RedHat Linux?

Hi,

Is there a sample Matlab script to transfer .MAT file from Windows 7 to Linux Red Hat using Matlab, automatically?

In another word, I'm looking for a sample batch script to do automatic transfer using MAtlab.

Right now, I'm able to send information using fwrite() function, but I need to transfer a large amount of data in a short period of time.

Why not use an external hard drive? Or a flash drive if the mat file is less than 32 GB or so?

Or, if you need to or want to do it via MATLAB code, and if both computers are connected via the LAN, just use system() to call the operating system's command to copy the file.

But you didn't say what was wrong with just using system() to do the copying. Or copyfile()? And why you need to do it via MATLAB.
