Huffman Decoding of a stream with errors

Hello,
I am transmitting data that has been Huffman encoded and then Reed Solomon encoded. The data is transmitted via a channel that introduces errors. In some cases, the amount of errors introduced is larger than what the Reed Solomon decoder can correct and hence the data becomes corrupted. This is where the problem arises as the codewords for the Huffman decoder are now also wrong, and in some cases the decoder stumbles across a codeword that is not found in its dictionary and this causes the following error:
"??? Error using ==> huffmandeco at 69
The encoded signal contains a code which is not present in the dictionary."
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks :)
