My user did not receive an email when I added them to a license. Why didn't I receive an email when my MathWorks account was linked to a license?

Notification emails are only sent when a user creates an account for the first time. Notification emails are not sent out when a user is added to a license.

However, if an email address which is not a MathWorks account is added to a license, then an email is sent to that address with a prompt to create a MathWorks account.
