How do I plot a sphere with equal patches?

Hi,
The function sphere or using the Cartesian to spherical conversion produces a sphere which have nonequivalent patch sizes. For, example at the top the patches are the smallest whereas at the equator the patches are biggest. Most likely I think the answer to my question is plotting the Bucky sphere. I don't know an easy way of doing that. The bucky function produced a 2d plot. In addition I don't have access to individual points which I need to modify afterword.

See if you can adapt it to plot the sphere with trisurf.
